Introduction
Welcome to the July/August newsletter for 42 Hastings Road, West Ealing. This newsletter provides an update on the progress of the development. The new 17-storey building will provide 430 beds of student accommodation, alongside public realm improvements for the wider community to enjoy.
Tide Construction is pleased to confirm that construction work is continuing on site.
Background
The student accommodation building is replacing the former Majestic Wine warehouse previously located on the site.
Development News
The concrete lift core is now complete, and the overall structure is nearing completion. The next stage of works will involve installing modular units from levels 1 to 17. This work is due to begin on Monday 20 July. This modern method of construction will significantly reduce site delivery traffic and waste compared with traditional construction methods. You will notice visible changes to the building as the modules are installed. We aim to complete this activity within 15 weeks. During the modular installation, mast climbers and scaffolding will also be erected to support the cladding works.
We remain on programme to complete the development in time for students to move into their new accommodation in August 2027.
